Hi there! I’m Ashley Wanous, the proud owner of Mama Goose Bookkeeping LLC. With over 15 years of experience in bookkeeping, I have dedicated my career to helping businesses manage their finances effectively. My experience ranges from all different professional backgrounds. From the construction or service industry to real estate or even coffee shops. My husband owns his own business and I have 3 of my own. So as a fellow business owner I understand the struggles us business owners face. Trying to grow and run a business is hard enough. I am here to help and take some of that load off!
From a young age, I knew I wanted to make a career out of my love for numbers. I always told my family and friends that I wanted to be an accountant when I grew up. The name “Mama Goose” holds a special place in my heart, paying homage to my late grandmother, who was my greatest supporter and always believed I would excel in the world of accounting. In her final days as I said my painful goodbyes, she told me I could always find her flying with the geese. Her faith in me inspires me every day as I work to provide the best bookkeeping services possible for my clients.
I started out taking accounting classes in high school and LOVED it! Because of those classes I was able to help my mother with her cleaning business. From there I started as a data entry clerk for a tax office. I worked my way up to receptionist and from there I became a licensed tax preparer in Oregon. Learning bookkeeping and payroll along the way. It has been my passion to help others understand basic bookkeeping, payroll, and even tax preparation so that I can help them put money back into their own pockets and learn very valuable life skills.
Beyond my professional life, I am a devoted wife and a proud mother to two amazing children. They keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance between work and family life. When I’m not navigating the world of finances, I love spending quality time in the kitchen, cooking and baking delicious meals and treats from scratch for my family. Traveling is another passion of mine, as it allows me to explore new cultures and experiences that enrich my family's life. I also enjoy helping my friends, family, and community in any ways I can. I have a love for God and brings me great joy to help others.
